The Cambridge Building Society Community Partnership
We’re delighted to confirm our next community partnerships
It's important for us to work alongside local charities that share our enthusiasm and focus for supporting vulnerable people in the local area. That’s why we’ve selected to partner with Emmaus Cambridge, Jimmy's Cambridge and It Takes a City. Enabling men and women in the local area to realise their full potential, is a cause we’re delighted to be a part of. The services they provide fit perfectly with our core values of supporting people with their shelter and housing needs.
How is The Cambridge making a difference?
Our fundraising will always play a part in our support for the community but we know we can do more. These community partnerships give us the opportunity for our team members to use their skills and experience to offer even greater support for those utilising the services provided by Emmaus, Jimmy's and It Takes a City. Everything from helping with cooking, gardening and painting, and more. There is a high level of enthusiasm and genuine excitement from our teams to help make a difference in our community.

Who are Emmaus Cambridge?
Emmaus works to combat homelessness in the local community, by providing shelter, meaningful work opportunities, and support to people experiencing homelessness. Their residents, known as companions, all live and work at their shelter in Landbeach, where they sell or recycle donated furniture, clothing, homewares and more.
Who are Jimmy's Cambridge?
Jimmy’s first opened its doors in 1995 as Cambridge’s first all year-round night shelter, offering a wide range of support. Over the years they've grown and remain one of the most prominent organisations within our community, providing support to people who have been rough sleeping in our city. Jimmy’s works with each person to provide options, tools, and skills to support them on their journey, developing a tailored pathway to independence.
