Meet your Mortgage Advisers
Name: Andy
Location: Our Central Cambridge store
When: Thursdays (by appointment only)
About: Andy is our Senior Mortgage Adviser and has been advising here for over 20 years! When looking for a mortgage, Andy says "make sure you're on the voters role. And it helps to talk to a lender early on to establish how much you could borrow."
In his spare time Andy enjoys family time, gardening and watching sport, mainly rugby.
Name: Emerson
Location: Our Central Cambridge store
When: Tuesdays (by appointment only)
About: Emerson started at The Cambridge in 2017, becoming a Mortgage Adviser in 2020. He loves seeing customer's ambitions of home ownership come to life. His top tip is "speak to an adviser early to understand your options and savings goals."
Emerson often spends his weekends taking his 2 year old to numerous birthday parties. When he has time, he likes to read (self confessed history nerd) and watch Arsenal.

Location: Our Bury St Edmunds store

About: Karen has been at The Cambridge 15 years, 12 of those as a Mortgage Adviser. Her favourite part of the job is seeing customers complete on their mortgage and move into their new home. As a busy Mum of one, she loves spending time time with her family, either out walking or watching a movie.
Karen's mortgage tip: "Keep up to date with payments for all your financial commitments, missed payments affect your credit rating"

Location: Our Cherry Hinton store

About: Paige has been at The Cambridge over 7 years and has been a Mortgage Adviser for over 2 years. She loves being part of the team. Her top tip is "be careful about taking out credit agreements if you're looking to get a mortgage, as it can impact your affordability."
Paige is a season ticket holder at Tottenham Hotspurs, so enjoys watching them play. She's also a foodie, so loves eating out and trying new foods.

About: Dan has been at The Cambridge 8 years, and mortgage advising for the last 2 years. Getting a mortgage is a big life event, so Dan says "take your time, ask as many questions as you want to feel comfortable during the process."
Dan is a coffee or green tea drinker and during his free time, is a keen runner and DIYer.

About: Sylvia has been a mortgage adviser at The Cambridge for 20 years. When she's not helping people get a mortgage, she likes to spend time with her grandchildren, hitting a few holes on the golf course and walking.
Her mortgage top tip is "Chat with a mortgage adviser as early as you can, so you can set yourself some goals"

You can book an in-store or telephone appointment online, over the phone on 0345 601 3344 or in store.
When booking an appointment, you'll be asked a few simple questions to get started, such as your salary/salaries, approximate value of the property and how much you want to borrow.
