We've been supporting our members and communities since 1850.

We’re celebrating 175 years of supporting our members and our community. Since 1850, we've been helping people buy a home, trusted to look after savings and committed to creating meaningful change in our community.

As we mark this anniversary, we’re proud to reflect on our journey and look ahead to a future filled with innovation, community impact, and sustainable growth. Join us in celebrating this milestone and discover how we’re giving back more than ever before.

Exciting updates for our 175th year!

We've awarded a three-year grant of £50,000 per annum to The Angels Foundation

The multi-year award is the first of its kind made by us as we continue to mark our 175th anniversary by building on our pledge to donate more money than ever before to help good causes and support people in the community.

“It’s amazing to be able to dream again” say the latest Rent to Home winners

The O’Leary family and Thomas Martin will move into the two semi-detached properties in Woolpit near Bury St Edmunds next week after they were selected at random in our ballot. After renting the properties for up to three years, we'll return up to 70% of their rent to be used as a deposit towards their own home.

Making The Difference conference sparks community collaboration

We've hosted a community conference to serve as a catalyst for driving social and economic change in Cambridgeshire. Businesses, charities and civic leaders gathered at the inaugural Making The Difference Conference to discuss creative approaches to grant giving and partnership models to help build a fairer Cambridgeshire.

Our teams are celebrating with our members

"These celebrations reminded us of how strong our connection with the community really is. We’re proud to be part of a place where members feel that sense of belonging, and it means a lot to us to be able to give back in a way that’s personal, heartfelt, and true to who we are as a mutual."

We’ve invested £1million to tackle housing issues across Cambridgeshire

The £1million investment was announced by Peter at a business event we hosted in early November, which brought together influential voices from business, education, sport and the arts.

This significant investment builds on our ambition to make a difference in the community as the curtain comes down on our 175 anniversary celebrations.
