Getting online in three easy steps

Step 1 – get your username and password

First things first, you’ll need your User ID. Call our Customer Contact Centre who will email it across to you, or pop into your nearest branch or store to get your ID and temporary password. Don’t forget, you’ll need a mobile number and email address to get online with us.

Once you have this information, click on the Login button on the top right side of our website. Make sure you have your User ID and temporary password to hand, you’ll need these to log in.

Now that you’re logged in, you’ll need to set a new password and a memorable question and answer.

We recommend using a strong password, this helps to protect you from financial fraud. Rather than picking something obvious like your mothers maiden name or the football team you support, choose three random words and use a mix of symbols, numbers and upper and lower case letters.

Once you’ve set this – you’re ready to go. And don’t worry, next time you log in you’ll just need your User ID, password and three characters from your answer.


Step 2 – download our Money App… (and keep it updated)

You’re now set to download our Money App:

  • iPhone users can download our Money App from the App Store
  • Android users can download our Money App from Google Play

Just search for ‘Cambridge Building Society’, 'The Cambridge Building Society' or 'The Cambridge Money App'. Click on the result which has our logo next to it and tap ‘install’.

We’re always thinking of new ways to develop our app to make it even better, so to benefit from these new features make sure you keep our app updated. Updating to the latest version will also help you stay as secure as possible into the future. 


Step 3 – set up a passcode for even quicker sign in

We know sometimes you need to get access to your money while you’re on the go, so once you’ve logged in with your User ID, password and the three characters from your memorable answer you can set up a passcode.

Your passcode needs to be five digits long, and if you have an iPhone you can then enable and choose to log in with your Touch or Face ID.
