Your guide to savings
We’ve been helping people get the best from their savings for over 165 years and our goal is to make it easy. Our friendly and expert staff will look after you. They’ll listen to your needs, explain the different types of savings accounts we have and help you find the right home for your savings.
When you save with The Cambridge you’ll become a member of a local, mutual building society with a reputation for providing the very best service.
We recognise that every one of our customers has different needs when it comes to saving and investing. That’s why we’ve developed a range of simple, easy to understand, savings accounts to suit your circumstances.
You can manage your savings online and at a time that suits you with our Everyday e-Saver. Applying is quick, simple and secure, and if you hold other savings accounts or your mortgage with The Cambridge you’ll be able to view these alongside your online account too.
Easy access savings
A safe place for your savings which you can add to or withdraw from whenever you like – perfect if you need flexibility for your everyday savings.
An Individual Savings Account (ISA) is a tax-efficient way to save or invest. If you want to make the most of your tax-free allowance we offer a range of ISAs.
Tax treatment and rate of interest payable will depend on individual circumstances and may change in the future.
Fixed rate bonds
If you are saving for something in particular, or are looking to save for a fixed period of time, then you may want to consider one of our Cambridge bonds.
We offer a range of children’s accounts. Our Children’s Bond allows you to invest up to £20,000 over a fixed term. The First Account is designed with young savers in mind. You have the option to let your young saver gain access to their money and start to take responsibility for their own savings from the age of 10.
We all have different reasons to save – a car, a house, or even your wedding. If you’re planning a big purchase, a Regular Saver from The Cambridge could help you get there.
Business and council savings
If you’d like to experience the same consistent personal and expert service when dealing with your business or council savings speak to one of our team today – we have accounts available for both businesses and councils. Our Business Saver account is available to sole traders, partnerships, limited companies, public limited companies, registered charities and housing associations.
