We've joined scam prevention scheme

We've teamed up with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Against Scams Partnership (CAPASP) to further educate and protect our members.
The CAPASP scheme works with local organisations, including police, to share knowledge and help prevent scams.
Our specialised department of financial crime experts ensures that we can identify and protect ourselves and our customers from potential scams.
“We’re delighted to partner with CAPASP, who have a wealth of knowledge in this field. We will be able to share insights from their scam-prevention work and raise awareness of scams to our members. Such information will help protect them and the broader community” said Financial Crime Manager, Martin Croucher.
By teaming up, we have access to a range of educational material developed by CAPASP across a broad spectrum of possible activities that could potentially affect our members and the general public.
On behalf of CAPASP, Karen Reid (Community Protection Officer at Cambridgeshire County Council), said: “We are delighted to welcome The Cambridge Building Society as a CAPASP partner.
“The Cambridge, as a member-owned mutual society, has been an integral part of East Anglian life for nearly 175 years now, with community always close to its heart. By becoming a CAPASP partner, the society has further demonstrated its ongoing commitment to protecting its members from the devastating effects of financial crime and we very much look forward to working together to support this.”
