Tracy gets credit for leadership

Our Head of Lending, Tracy Simpson, has been shortlisted for a Team Leader of the Year Award in this year’s Women in Credit Awards.

The awards champion the work of incredible women across the entire credit and financial services industry. They empower, connect, support and uncover achievements among inspirational women in the profession.

Tracy was nominated by The Cambridge’s Leadership Team for developing our commercially successful lending programme that rolled out our mortgages to a national audience last year.

She also quickly identified the impact COVID was having on our customers and moved members of her team to different areas to support where needed.

She adapted our valuation offering to allow cases to continue to progress during the first lockdown and regularly proposed, recommended and delivered product proposition changes.

“Tracy used her well-developed network of contacts, and respected industry position to execute a strategy that allowed us to take advantage of the opportunities a national market offered in a controlled way,” said Carole Charter.

“I’m sure it is her dedication to customers, her teams and our business, that has put us in a strong position, despite the challenges of a most extraordinary year that has impressed the judges to shortlist her.

“We all wish her the very best of luck for the awards. She should feel justifiably proud.”

Past winners have come from Lloyds banking Group, Experian, Vodafone, Oodle Car Finance and Adecco, among others.

Tracy has been invited to a glittering awards ceremony in London at the end of September, when winners will be announced.
