‘Going digital’ has never been so important (or so simple!)

It’s amazing how much a worldwide pandemic can push us to think about doing things a little differently. And this includes managing our finances. But for the team at The Cambridge we’ve seen this as an opportunity. An opportunity to use our tried and tested digital solutions to support our members as much as possible. And whilst we are all adjusting and adapting to the ‘new normal’, it has never been more important for our members to be able to manage their accounts from the comfort of their homes.
But this isn’t something that has only just become a priority for us. Actually, at The Cambridge we’ve been introducing digital solutions to our members for a number of years now. Back in 2017 we first introduced our Money App, breaking ground for us and other Building Societies alike. We also relaunched our sparkling new website allowing a more interactive experience for our customers and packed it full of useful information to help make the best financial decision for them.
Since then both our Money App and (still sparking) website have gone from strength to strength. We’ve had nearly 9,000 downloads of our Money App since its launch in 2017. And over 4,000 of our members have online account with us. We’re thrilled to have supported so many of our members in continuing to manage their account without needing to leave their sofa, and with our digital services helping customers change their personal details, transfer funds and view their savings and mortgage balance online there’s less need to venture into one of our branches or stores. If you have an Everyday e-Saver account with us or a Your Saver account you can complete transfers to a nominated bank account, payees and other Cambridge accounts yourself.
And how could we forget? We’re brimming with pride after our website took home the award for ‘Best Lender Website’ at the What Mortgage Awards 2020. Supporting our members is at the heart of what we do here at The Cambridge, and being able to do this while the world is navigating a global pandemic, well… we’re very proud to be able to help.
