The Cambridge celebrate community magazines at 20th awards ceremony
25 July 2019 • Community
Our 20th annual Cambridge Building Society Community Magazine Awards took place last night at the Arthur Rank Hospice. Editors and publishers from the local community were joined by the team from The Cambridge in an evening which saw the work of independent groups, charities and colleges celebrated.
Thirty publications entered the competition with a combined circulation of over one hundred thousand copies. The magazines were judged on editorial excellence, relevance of community content, use of imagery and overall presentation.
The judging panel consisted of Clive Weatherley (Joint Creative Director of the creative agency Mobas), Adrian Peel (The Property editor at Cambridge Independent), Janet Reid (Company Secretary and Head of Compliance at The Cambridge) and Donna Talbot (Director of Fundraising & Communications at the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity).
