Perse Community Lecture

11 November 2020 19:30 - 21:00

Zoom (Online) - Please do not attend The Perse School for this lecture.

What’s happening?

The Cambridge is delighted to be continuing our partnership with the Perse School as sponsor of their Community Lecture Series. The series is part of the school’s far-reaching community programme – bringing fascinating speakers to share their expertise with a local audience.

The Michaelmas term lecture will be given by Mark Allan, on the topic of ending homelessness in Cambridge.

About the speaker

Mark Allan is Chief Executive of Jimmy’s Cambridge. For the last 25 years, Jimmy’s have been helping people who find themselves sleeping rough. They provide an emergency bed, and all the support that’s needed to help get people back on track, including moving on to one of their shared houses or new modular homes. Each year Jimmy’s helps over 400 people.

The lecture is free of charge and open to everyone in the community, whether or not they have a connection with The Perse. The lecture will be held remotely, via Zoom, and the link will be sent out to attendees in advance of the event.

Tickets for this lecture are available on general release now.
