Estate Planning

We’ve been informed by The Estate Planning Group that The Will Writing Company, which is part of the Group, has ceased trading and is in administration.

Taylor-Rose TTKW Solicitors will be providing support to customers with on-going service plans and family trusts. Deedbank, which holds customer Wills, continues to offer these facilities to all customers.

Below you’ll find some information to help with your questions.  We will continue to update this page as we receive further information.

What has happened to The Will Writing Company?

The Will Writing Company, which is part of Estate Planning Group, has ceased trading and is in the process of administration. Deedbank Limited, which holds customer wills and other documents, is unaffected and continues to trade.

What is The Cambridge doing about the situation?

We are doing everything we can to support our customers who have been affected. Unfortunately the process of a company going into administration is complex and slow. We are in the process of writing to customers we believe have been affected by this, however as The Will Writing Company provided the products and services we do not hold specific information about any conversations our customers have had.

Yes. This support will now be provided by Taylor-Rose TTKW Limited, who are a large established ‘top 200’ law firm with over a 100 year trading history.

I have a family trust who will be servicing my needs in the future?

Taylor-Rose TTKW Limited will service the future requirements of all family trust customers. Customers will be offered their standard terms of engagement and have acquired the share capital of The Family Trust Corporation so they can appoint new trustees if they wish.

The Will Writing Company currently holds my Will, how can I retrieve this?

You can arrange the return of your Will by contacting the storage company, Deedbank. We recommend emailing them using storage@deedbank.co.uk or telephoning them on 0330 555 7555 between the hours of 10am and 4pm (Monday to Friday).

There will be a charge made for the retrieval of documents in line with the Deedbank storage cost structure. These costs will vary by document and will need to be paid direct to the storage company.
