About the role

As our Systems Development Manager you will have leadership experience and success in managing a team of specialists, driving change and improving results alongside delivering exceptional customer service.

Working alongside our third party suppliers you will work as a collective to improve the solutions for both our customers and team members.  

Salary and working hours

Negotiable starting salary

Monday to Friday (36.25 hours per week) plus on-call responsibilities


12 month fixed term contract

What you’ll be doing day-to-day?

Managing the overall Systems team, you will coach and develop members to ensure they have the relevant skills to effectively deliver in their roles

Enhance relationship with DPR to become their customer of choice

Develop a clear change, testing and product release strategy

Understanding business operations through attendance at key committee meetings, you will create and manage a departmental roadmap to achieve our corporate plan

Review internal systems and identify areas of improvement for our customers

Negotiate with stakeholders and third party providers around system developments, delivery timescales, plans and costs

Work closely with the change team and other users, prioritise change and seek stakeholder agreement challenging the impact of agreed changes

Ensure change is implemented in line with our requirements working closely with other teams to ensure timescales are met and effective communications are issued

Arrange new release details with DPR and manage out of hour’s resource

Test changes prior to release to ensure our customers’ requirements are being met

Ensure the team’s sale level agreements are met and analysing details of calls raised and resolved and reporting on new release data and the impact of releases

Utilise PR opportunities to help raise our profile around the work we do with DPR

You will be someone that

Is educated to A-level standard

Has previous experience working within financial services and/or savings and mortgage knowledge

Working knowledge of DPR solutions

Has experience of leading projects and ability to anticipate needs and requirements

Has a proven track record of people management

Has excellent verbal and written communication skills

Is able to prioritise and make decisions whilst under pressure

Can effectively manage internal and external stakeholders

Is highly motivated, takes responsibility, has a positive attitude and is a self-starter

Has a full UK Driving Licence
