About the role
As PR & Internal Communications Lead at The Cambridge you’ll have an amazing opportunity to plan and promote key initiatives at The Cambridge whilst enhancing and acting as a representative for our brand.
You’ll be based within a busy Marketing Team, be managing your own plans and co-ordinating with the wider team to deliver skilful and meaningful content.
Needless to say, but you need to be awesome at writing, have superb attention to detail and be able to listen and interpret information for multiple audiences, keeping them informed and engaged.

Salary and working hours
Salary £32,000 per annum
Monday to Friday 8:45am - 5:00pm (36.25 hours per week)
We will also consider part time applications
What you’ll be doing day-to-day?
You’ll plan, implement and deliver PR and internal communications activity supporting targets and objectives
Ensure media requests are dealt with pro-actively and in a timely manner
Your time will be invested in maintaining key relationships across our communities
You’ll seek out stories, facts and information, developing content that supports wider external communications and marketing campaign plans
You’ll create and write, obtain ‘sign off’ and sell in content to a variety of media outlets including regional, trade / industry sector and national press
Have the responsibility for arranging and co-ordinating media interviews
Be responsible for maintaining up to date press contacts
You’re responsible for identifying relevant awards, submissions and leading the team to appropriately cover awards successes
Monitoring results and progress for media metrics, and providing information to key stakeholders
You’ll review and assess work for effectiveness and use the information to enhance performance
Internal communications plans and campaigns are developed and delivered in line with business objectives
You’ll oversee and manage the development of internal communications over various types of media
Empower team members to create their own internal communications encouraging them to deliver collaboratively
You’ll work with key stakeholders to ensure internal events are delivered and are effective
You will be someone with
Is an expert networker (internally and externally) making good use of contacts and relationships
Has private sector, B2B or Trade experience in a PR Role (2+ years)
Has the Ability to understand complex information that needs to be translated into distinct, easily understood messaging
Will be able to develop content for a variety of mediums and audiences
Has effective time management, you’re highly organised with the ability to prioritise and organise workload effectively
That has a professional PR Qualification or equivalent experience
