About the role
We are looking to recruit a Business Intelligence Analyst (Data) into our business. This is an excellent opportunity for a bright, motivated individual who is ready to take on a key role supporting the Society in its data-driven decision making. You will have experience in the development and delivery of reports, analysis and management information to business users, while experience of reporting in a regulated environment is desirable but not essential
Salary and working hours
Competitive salary depending on experience
36.25 hours per week across Monday to Friday
Core hours 8:45 to 17:00 with flexible working available
What you’ll be doing day-to-day?
Developing management reporting to user specifications
Providing regular reporting to Board, Committees and Regulatory bodies
Assisting in the production of forecasting models and other insight and analysis tools
Supporting the production of annual statements and other mailing activity
Validating the reconciliation of data across the Society’s systems
Providing commentary on internal and/or external datasets showing trends relevant to the Society
You will be someone who has:
A strong skillset across the Microsoft BI Stack
(SQL, SSIS, SSRS required, SSAS nice to have)
Ideally experience of Power BI but not a prerequisite
Excellent analytical and investigatory capability
Strong Excel skills
The ability to communicate clearly and concisely with users at all levels of the business
Precise report writing and presentation skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
The ability to use own initiative but also be a team player
A can-do attitude
The ability to prioritise appropriately and flexibly
Experience working in a regulated environment is useful but not a requirement
