About the role
Are you first class communicator with a passion for customer service? Are you able to quickly establish rapport and adapt your style to suit the customer? We have a rare opportunity as a Business Development Adviser within our Lending Team. This is a busy role that primarily supports our Intermediaries with the provision of criteria information in order that they can confidently place a mortgage case with the Society.
Salary and working hours
Starting salary £21,000 per annum
Monday to Friday (36.25 hours per week) plus Saturday mornings on a rota basis
Shift hours on a rota basis:
8.15am – 4.30pm
8.45am – 5.00pm
9.45am - 6.00pm
What you’ll be doing day-to-day?
Providing advice and guidance to intermediaries on our lending criteria, underwriting terms and progress of mortgage cases.
You will be the liaison point between our intermediaries and underwriters in obtaining all necessary information to enable a viable case to progress, this will include challenging declined cases.
Manage our Registered Intermediary Panel in line with regulation and compliance
Support our Business Development Managers by proactively developing and maintaining relationships with our Intermediaries, including booking appointments,
Keep up to date with internal and external mortgage knowledge, sharing best practices within the team.
Provide system support internally and to our Intermediaries.
You will be someone that:
Is an excellent communicator over the telephone, email and live chat
Is a self-starter, can use their initiative and be a team player
Can effectively problem solve and has a keen eye for detail
Has a confident, can-do attitude
Previous experience working within financial services and/or mortgage related role
CeMap qualification would be advantageous but not essential (willingness to complete this qualification is essential)
