The Cambridge hosts free First Time Buyer event
The Cambridge Building Society will be hosting an informal evening event for First Time Buyers this month (July).
The event is designed to talk first time buyers through the entire home buying process in a simple, straightforward way. Mortgage advisers will be on hand throughout the evening to answer any questions and for one-to-one chats about buying a first home.
Andy Lucas, Chief Operating Officer at The Cambridge Building Society, said: “Buying your first home is one of the most exciting things you’ll do. It’s a great feeling to put your stamp on your very own place, but getting there can seem a bit daunting. There may be lots of information to take in and big decisions to make.
“So we are inviting people – whether they are already our customers or not – to try and relieve some of the stress that can be associated with buying a first home. Not only for the prospective homeowners themselves, but the event will be really valuable for guarantors or parents whose children are leaving home for the first time.”
The event, which is free of charge, will be held on 27th July, from 6:30pm until 8pm at The Cambridge Brew House on King Street.
The Cambridge Building Society’s Mortgage Advisers Andy Fowler and Michael Spurr will take prospective home owners through each step: from where to start, through to making an offer and applying for a mortgage.
After a short introduction, they’ll also be on hand to answer any questions and to pass on some of their top tips.
Andy Lucas said: “No matter what stage of the process you’re at, whether you’re just thinking about it or you’re ready to buy and want that little bit of help, this event will help you understand how we can do just that. And we’ll be providing refreshments too.”
