Best Regional Building Society award for the third time in a row
Customers have named The Cambridge Building Society as the Best Regional Building Society in the coveted What Mortgage Awards 2016.
This is the third consecutive year that The Cambridge has received this prestigious award. It was up against six others in the highly competitive category last night (Wednesday 20th July).
The What Mortgage Awards, now in their 23rd year, are unique as they are driven entirely by the votes of customers. For six weeks, banks and building societies were nominated across a range of categories.
An award is a stamp of approval, recognising and rewarding the best businesses in the UK’s mortgage and associated personal finance markets. The Cambridge Building Society’s Andrew Fowler, Senior Mortgage Adviser and Michael Spurr, Mortgage Adviser attended the event in London to accept their award.
The Cambridge Building Society prides itself on offering a personal service to its customers. It constantly reviews how borrowers are supported and adapts accordingly. Removal of the upper age limit on mortgage terms to suit the changing needs of older borrowers is a prime example of this.
It also carries out regular research with customers and the latest feedback highlights that 82% are either extremely or very satisfied with the service provided. This, combined with the latest accolade, is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the team.
Andy Lucas, Chief Operating Officer at The Cambridge Building Society, said: “With customer focus and community values running through every aspect of our business, it’s an honour to be recognised yet again in these fully independent and prestigious awards.
“We maintain our excellent customer support by really listening to the needs of our customers and improving what we provide wherever we can.”
