Sponsorship

At The Cambridge, we are committed to delivering a diverse sponsorship programme which benefits the local community and aligns us with local organisations, events and people who require our support.

Each year, we receive a large number of requests for sponsorship and taking into consideration our customers, staff, local community and our brand values, we carefully select what we support.

As of January 2012, we will aim to commit to at least six sponsorship opportunities each year, all of which will be community based and connected to the East Anglia region.

We have created a definition of what we believe sponsorship is;

“Sponsorship is an opportunity to work in conjunction with and alongside an individual, event or organisation that fits in with the Society’s brand values and offers commercial advantage in return for sponsorship investment.”

We are always on the look out for exciting new sponsorship opportunities and are now taking proposals for 2013. If you have a sponsorship proposal that you would like to submit for consideration, please email sponsorship@cambridgebs.co.uk

We will need the following information:

  • Organisation, event, individual detail
  • What you need sponsorship for
  • When you need the sponsorship for
  • How much money you are looking for
  • What commercial advantage this may have for The Cambridge e.g. publicity, online promotion etc

If it is an event we will also need to know:

  • What the demographics are
  • How many people attended last year
  • What publicity plans you have for this year
  • How The Cambridge will have a presence at the event
  • If there are going to be any other sponsors
What we can offer you: Our wish list:
Monetary funding Access to new audiences
Branch promotion Presence at the event on the day
Online promotion A dedicated contact to liaise with
Social Media links Links to and from your website and recognition on Twitter  (if applicable)
Positive brand association Data capture opportunities
A detailed proposition with clear measurable objectives

We aim to work closely with all of the organisations, events or people that we sponsor and we like to develop a two way relationship to help maximise your experience working with The Cambridge and our experience working with you.

We look forward to hearing from you and to hearing how you feel that we can get involved!

We also offer charitable donations to:

If you are seeking a charitable donation and not sponsorship, please send your request to donations@cambridgebs.co.uk. Not all requests will be successful but we will look at each request and respond accordingly. We will endeavour to answer your request within one week.

We no longer accept proposals via post or telephone and can only consider those that come through the dedicated email addresses.

2011 Sponsorship

Sawston Fun Run
SAWSTON FUN RUN – we have been sponsoring the run for 26 years and this year our Smart cars also attended the event!

Christmas
LOVE CAMBRIDGE ‘BIG SWITCH ON’ – we sponsored this event for the first time in 2011 and we had 32 members of staff singing Christmas carols in Cambridge to help raise our profile and raise money for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity.

Bridge The Gap
BRIDGE THE GAP – 2011 was the third year that we have sponsored Bridge the Gap. Two members of staff sit on the committee and attend monthly meetings to help maximise the sponsorship.
