Buildings insurance will cover the rebuilding costs of your home, up to £500,000.
Your home, garage, greenhouse or any other building forming part of your home will be covered against a wide range of risks including fire, storm and subsidence.
Accidental damage to windows, sanitary ware, underground pipes and cables is included in the policy as standard.
The contents of your home
Contents insurance will provide cover for your furniture, household goods, carpets and personal belongings, up to £75,000 (larger amounts of cover can be arranged upon request). The cover includes:
- Accidental damage to TVs and home computers
- Loss of money and credit cards - up to £500
- Loss or damage to mobile phones - up to £250
- Personal valuables within the home - up to £7,000 in total, and up to £2,500 for a single item
- Unlimited cover for frozen food
- Personal belongings when away from home - up to 10% of the total contents sum insured, and up to £1,500 for a single item
- Contents belonging to a member of your family who is away at college or university - up to £2,500
- A 10% increase in cover for 30 days over Christmas and for birthdays and weddings
- Home office equipment up to £5,000 (plus £1,000 for stock)
- The cost of replacing information on your home entertainment equipment, up to £500 in any one period of insurance
- The costs of finding the source of any escape of water or oil, from any fixed domestic heating installation, up to £750 in total.
